Chitika: Search Targeted Revenue Model

Chitika is around for many years but to be honest I’ve just started to use this revenue model that chitika offers. I was aware of their service but I don’t know why chitika always focuses on advertising its so called “chitika premium ads” where I’ll review later on this post. Chitika offers 3 types of advertising models:

1. Chitika Premium (eMiniMalls)
2. Chitika WhiteSpace Ads
3. Chitika Linx

When I checked my users resolution property from analytics, I realized that only 11 percent of my visitors are still using 800×600 resolution depth… And all others have higher resolutions. So I searched for a way to get some income from this white space areas shown to my visitors and in that search, I re-explored chitika, chitika white space ads. Then I started to use chitika products on my site and I am highly glad for this extra money coming in Here is the overview of Chitika services.

Chitika Premium (eMini Malls):

Chitika’s favorite program. Anyone who comes to your site via Google, Yahoo, etc., will receive an unobtrusive text ad based on the keyword they used to find you. Chitika Premium ads don’t show up to untargeted visitors like regular readers for example. Chitika Premium ads only show up on search engine traffic from USA and Canada. If your visitors are not coming from search engines and if they are not from USA and Canada, they will not see the ad (but you can show them alternate ads if you like to do so). Since the ads displayed are targeted to the search terms, the click ratio is high compared to other programs around so does the income

Chitika White Space Ads:

My favorite Chitika service is white space ads It is in fact just like chitika premium. The only downside of chitika white space ads is when visitors coming from search engine and if they are from coming from EU or Asian countries, intead of seeing nothing, they will see chitika white space ads floading banner though in chitika premium ads, they see nothing or alternate ads you want to be shown. Beside this lack of feature, chitika white space ads are just like chitika premium ads. If your visitors coming from US/Canada and coming from a search engine, the click through ratio will be really high and so does your income. If your users resolution is 800×600 pixel or lower, they will simply see no ads. To use chitika white space ads, there must be some white pages in your site template of course So if your site or blog uses a template that widens the content according to the users browsers resolution, you can’t use chitika white space ads for obvious reason: there is no whitespace!

Chitika Linx:

Chitika Linx is in-text advertising solution offred by chitika. Chitika Linx will automatically identify key products/keywords mentioned in the content on your website or blog and hyperlink (double underline) those keywords to interactive paid (CPC-based) product listings featuring best deals, offers and promotions from name brand merchants. When users mouse-over these links, a small bubble-like scroll over is revealed listing offers from merchants. Chitika linx in-text advertising solution gives additional revenue stream to you with no effort and no extra ad-space.

Although Chitika services are available worldwide, keep in mind that only if you have US/Canada visitors and search engine traffic, Chitika will improve your earnings The accumulated earnings can be cahed our via paypal (10$ minimum) or via check (50$ minimum). There is no requirements for traffic volume but your sites must be in English…
